Recently I seem to have my cellular data connection dropped and it never comes back. This is with TMobile in the US. It will show a connection with bars in the status bar, but any program trying to access data will fail, without ever bringing up the connection chooser. If I put it on airplane mode, then turn airplane mode off, then the status bar is updated to show no bars. Removing and reinserting the SIM does the same thing. The only remedy seems to be a reboot, but I'd rather not lose the battery power required to reboot. Is there a way to reset this via xterm? Is anybody having the same issue with TMobile?

Have this issue once in awhile. It's quite annoying. I can't get on to the web or anything because the data connection just isn't there. Only fix seems to be a reboot.
I think this is actually a known problem with no real work around yet..
