hello,

is it possible to change the default settings of the alsamixer (for Earpiece and PreDriv)? i'd love to have both on 100%.

i think there are many ppl out there, who think, that the loudspeaker or the earpiece is not loud enough. maybe one of the experienced members can figure out, how to change the default settings.

thx in advance

You could try schturmans N9QTweak, it has an option for boosting the volume.

Regards Dousan...

the quicktweak just does the same, as i already mentioned. it changes the value of the alsamixer. the problem is: its not permanent. it keeps the settings until you change the output. meaning: you boost the loudspeaker to 100%, receive a call or you call someone (the output changes from loudspeaker to earpiece), call is over (output changes from earpiece back to loudspeaker), alsamixer settings are back to default (66%)

my question is: how to set the default settings from 66% to 100% and keep it permanent on 100%.

I would also like to know. there is some kind of a solution that checks the volume every 15seconds in the comments of this post:

I can make a daemon for this ****
A script checking it every 15 seconds consumes a lot of battery I think

There is also a daemon available for the N900 that does the same, but for the headphones:

That one doesn't consume much battery....
