I know what it mean. It's just definitely, very, VERY bad idea. As You can see, You don't gain any benefits form such insanely unwise settings (more likely, regressions due to instability), and You're on perfect way of frying Your device, if - accidentally - any process locks Your CPU at max usage, for prolonged period of time.

Of course, You're free to do whatever You want with Your device, but if want to remain in "sane side of the Force", don't overclock to more than 900 mhz.

I run it overclocked only when I want to shoot video, and in rare occasions when I need something to be faster.I always run it underclocked,at 250 mhz for better battery life.

So,how can i tweak my N900 to shoot 30 fps at 720p??I tried everything!

Obviously the profile 'dsp' was named for ...?
Its dsp settings, so use it.
Code:
sudo gainroot
kernel-config load dsp

I get

Code:
/home/user # kernel-config load dsp
loading /usr/share/kernel-power-settings/dsp
/usr/sbin/kernel-config: /usr/share/kernel-power-settings/dsp: line 1: #: not found
successfully loaded.
I'm a noob,I don't understand your question.I don't know what to do anymore.

Looks good!
Still this cryptic error message should not occur, if you have these packages installed. Please make sure the files are at the right place.
Code:
ls -l /usr/share/kernel-power-settings/
Please also provide the information of
Code:
uname -a
kernel-config show

For the first one I get:
Code:
