I am using n9 often outside and I am thinking at some app that locks the screen by proximity sensor when is covered for 5 seconds or less to lock the screen so you don't have eveytime to lock it when you put it inside your pocket .

why lock it before put in pocket? I never do self locking after 1min. Its not like anything in the pocket can interact with the touchscrean

Si. would be an excellent way for that.
In symbian is a app called pockeloock that does that.
Locks the screen to cover the proximity sensor.
very good.
use it some time in my n8.
In my opinion, should be closed immediately .

Yep , nothing in your pocket can interact with touchscreen , but the canvas that your pocket is made from is not always 100% isolating so the touchscreen interacts with ur leg . Try with a piece of canvas on your finger , you will see the screen responding sometimes if you press a bit harder .

I tried that app named Lightlock from Ovi Store. But it seemed that it won't turn screen of unless release off covering proximity sensor.

What?

It naturally turns itself off when it's in your pocket.

what i was thinking was how do you know that it didn't turn off in pocket? If you could see it obviously it means that it wasn't in your pocket fully...

Si. buy it and does not work.
In fact very few times to try his hand over the top of the cell and block the screen.

The one that works 100 % is shakelock.
