Hey guys, how do i get the encrypted code which will get the lock code once decrypted??

i only own one laptop and it is running windows xp so i do not have linux or anything

you need to have Linux by any way and install john !

You can also decrypt the code on your n900, just gonna take a bit longer so you don't even need a computer for this... give it a go, it shouldn't take longer than 15m... good luck!

Hey, just found my stolen n900 on craigslist, not sure what to do, but im going to try and work with the police to hopefully prove its mine. i have the root encyrption written down (thank god)

i also have the box with IMEI # on it. i dont suppose the IMEI is written on the phone somewhere.... wait. cant you display it in "about phone"?

Dial *#06# in the phone app, if you have starhash app.
Or "About product" from the settings menu.
Bit silly to put your lock code DES on here now your lock code can be worked out!

So i have got my Nokia N900 flashed and the lock code set back to default

now after the flash, my phone no longer works with my sim card because it is no longer unlocked to all networks

is there any free way of doing this myself?

I have a strange idea...
In computers, you have a BIOS battery: when you pull out the battery, the password is reset!

When you open your N900, they are a small battery, very small.
I never test if pull out the battery reset lock password...

If you're not sure, you can try to contact Nokia support...
