While out driving a few weeks ago, we were nearly hit by a truly mad driver who were speeding on the highway with a car and trailer south of Stockholm.
The event made me think about having some kind of in-car speed camera app in my N9 to record **** like this and I have been thinking about how it should work:
* It should have "segmented" recording, recording videos that are something like 5, 10 or 15 minutes long at a time.
* The previous segment should automatically be discarded when the new one is started, unless the user press a "keep" button while recording or unless the user has previously set some buffer limit that has to be reached before the oldest segment is deleted.
* Time, place and speed should be recorded together with the video, if possible as an overlay.
Does anyone else feel like brainstorming?
Can a developer in the forum estimate the complexity and development time of this app given the functionality I listed above?
