how can I force meego to use temporary ipv6 addresses?
sysctl net.ipv6.conf.all.use_tempaddr=2
does not work

Does your kernel provide a /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/all/use_tempaddr? Do you get better results by setting it on a specific interface instead of all?

Is the stock kernel built with CONFIG_IPV6_PRIVACY enabled? Do you have the relevant /proc/sys files? What does ifconfig report before/after?

Also, what is your IPv6 environment? Does your network use router advertisements, DHCPv6, both?

ipv6 as such works fine but phone uses EIU-64 MAC build address

I have other machines with windows and unix in my network and they have assigned temporary ipv6 address and that address is preffered to use

only problem is meego with EUI-64 address

Isn't that how it's supposed to be?

ah yes, yet another reason for custom kernel.
Allthough, personally, not too concerned about my MAC adress exposed. Could be exposed by multiple means
