Friend, there are other methods of updating your N9's Firmware other than OTA (Over-The-Air) updates. Please check here.

It's all in the link I gave, my friend. I just read all of it. First Page, First Post.

See, it's at the section that says "FLASH YOUR PHONE"...

  • Upgrade operating system: Replace operating system
  • Recover from damaged OS install: Replace operating system
  • "Unbrick" phone: Replace operating system or Comprehensive reset
  • Reset back to a "clean slate": Comprehensive reset
  • De-brand phone: Comprehensive reset
  • Prepare for enabling open mode: Comprehensive reset
  • Disable open mode: Comprehensive reset
  • Prepare for selling, recycling, or destroying phone: Zeroize device
  • Clear data before returning phone for warranty service (if possible): Zeroize device
  • Reset device lock code: Zeroize device

Vodafone hasn't even recieved the update from Nokia to do their testing on the image yet.
If Vodafone find any bugs, it goes back to Nokia for testing and the process starts again.

Voda uses (including me) usually wait about 1-2 months after the update inially becomes available.

Have a look at this: http://blog.vodafone.com.au/blog/sof...wrap-11072012/

So unless you want to wait, you have to flash your phone...

Yup.

Sajith, I just got my Nokia N9 by the way (I'm from the Philippines). Pretty new at it but have been reading about it for quite some time. There are a lot of good stuff here that I want to try first before I upgrade to PR1.3...I am an active participant in a local forum site here, so I am writing documentation based from what we have here at TMO (basically I am trying to localize the content to cater to the readers of our local forums). It's my personal contribution to this community.
