you enable rd-mode, you dissconect the N900 from your PC. Boot the N900, open xterminal, become root, open midnight commander from xterminal (or whetever file explorer you use) go to /lib and you replace the libgcc file you find there with the one you have.

then reconnect your device to maemo-flasher and disable rd-mode

Thanks Raimu as a mentioned on my previous post I'm aware that this was coved before I thought that worth to mention because we got an update and the problem wasnt sorted.

Anyway would you be able to help to locate the file showing its path?

Sorry if I was misunderstood

Kind regards

  1. Open the browser
  2. type about:config in the location bar
  3. type security.enable_tls and set to false

the problem with TLS and https://google.com seems to be caused by the toolchain. zeq is testing gcc 4.6-linaro toolchain, once there is a fixed version, I will make a new update. For now use the workaround.

I have installed CSSU-thumb to my spare device about three days ago (which has broken internal flash - so everything are on SD card except root partition) and a day later to the device I use every day.

So far so good, both devices work well since that - no crashes or other problems found yet.
I think they're a bit faster - however, having a swap partition both on internal flash and SD card also provides better performance -, so I think speed improvement is greater in the phone that only has a Class 6 SD card without internal flash - it is also really responsive.

One of my friends complains a lot of his N900 (I hope it does not have hardware issues) with CSSU installed.
He says he has to reboot his device daily, so I'm curious what happen with stability after an upgrade to CSSU-thumb - he use his phone a lot. I'm going to install this update on his phone once we find enough time to do this and share results.

So, thank you and keep up your good work, I like the results.

I installed gthumb2 on my N900 and had to reflash it: battery drained REALLY FAST.

I use it just as a tablet and normally it can go for days but with gthumb2 it barely made through a single day...
