It look like thing getting worse.
When plugging USB cable there is no popup window "mass storage or pc suite".
the device get into charging only mode and nothing can get it out of there.

I still maintain that you have some severe corruption of your filesystem. If you had backed up and reflashed, you would probably have finished restoring your N900 to its original state by now.

There is a script that is responsible to display that popup .. you can search this forum for its exact location.

However, I think a reflash will be more useful .. it's quite obvious that something isn't so happy in your rootfs

I agree, I'm ready to use any method.

As I asked before:
How to use RescueOS ?
And if it is better to reflash - How do i do it ?

RescueOS .. http://devrandom.mooo.com/N900/rescu...umentation.txt You need the initrd file and 2.6.37 kernel.. both given on the site.

My advice would be to:
1) install BackupMenu from the repositories.
2) use it to backup rootfs and optfs to emmc or uSD (if it will succeed mounting them) OR
-- try to use Raw USB feature of BackupMenu, which will mount all the partitions onto your pc
3) After you've backed up your stuff (maybe more than once to different places), use BackupMenu (or PC) to run 'fsck' on the partitions.

If you're lucky, errors will be fixed and they should mount.

Obviously, the fastest way (but least desirable) is to reflash your device.
I manage to install backupmenu and follow the steps quoted.
after the backup to eMMC and PC I've run fcsk all partitions
and...........
nothing happens !!
as i reboot i still got no access to device nor SD.

Am I missing something ?

Try to check your file system from within maemo, again, please.
Use the following
Code:
sudo gainroot
fsck -af /dev/mmcblk0p1
Reboot if no further error messages appear.
If any errors are put out, please completely copy and paste them here.

HALELUYAH !
This trick did the job.

And just for the record and for the next generation
the code is:
Code:
dpkg --purge --force-all ke-recv
apt-get install ke-recv
dsmetool -b
now I'm back in business.

TY, qhubekela for your patient,
and all the users that were trying to help.
