They seem to do them on one day sales every now and then. Mine came on Friday.

It seems to be entirely useless without an Android phone and it has to be an Android 2.x phone too as the official SE LiveView app doesn't support later versions. You can't even use it as a watch without it being paired to a phone as it shows 0.00 before pairing to the phone to get the time.

I'll have a go later once I've worked out how to use it with that python script on my N9 or with my Nexus 7 Android 4.1 tablet which I also got on Friday - too many geek toys lately!

Anyone got this running on an N9 yet?

I've spent a short while today getting the code from http://code.google.com/p/adqmisc/sou...unk%2Fliveview and putting it on my N9 (PR1.3) and first found python missing so downloaded and installed that.

But, I'm stuck on python bluetooth support. I'm not a python programmer so this is the first time I've debugged it. It seems to be missing a bluetooth library.

~/LiveView $ python ./LiveViewServer.py
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "./LiveViewServer.py", line 30, in <module>
import bluetooth
ImportError: No module named bluetooth

Any clues?

edit: ps. battery life for me seems to be about 3-4 days using it as a watch. Also a quick warning - you can't even set the time on it without an Android 2.x phone. My Nexus 7 Android 4.1 tablet won't run the Sony LiveWare software at all. 'Luckily' one of the kids has a spare HTC ChaCha which sort of runs it.

Does anybody already worked on a Liveview Daemon for Maemo/N900?
Im currently try to write something, but i have not much experience in maemo programming
are there someone who would use that, except me?
i already worked out how i can set some settings (volume, musicplayer) via dbus.
Does anybody have an idea how i can access the notifications, like incoming call, sms, mail in python?
Can i monitor somehow the dbus events?

Im using Qt connectivity Api.

I can already connect to the LiveView from a Symbian phone but I cant send any commands right now. Maybe, somebody with more Qt knowledge can give some help.

Following this info:

and

code.google.com/p/adqmisc/source/browse/trunk/liveview/
