Friends I am a newb to CSSU testing. Presently I use CSSU stable with standard partitions to install apps and NITDroid. I use windows for flashing. I am planning to reflash with CSSU Thumb, in which case I do not know how to partition with 8GB instead of standard installable memory. Pl help or guide me in this regard. Thanks in advance.

I follow this tread since some time now and never saw anything related to repartitionning.

Can you tell me where you found this info?

EDIT: Oh, and by the way, here is a link to a partitioning wiki for n900: http://wiki.maemo.org/Repartitioning_the_flash

You shouldn't need to repartition anything to upgrade from CSSU stable to thumb, you just need to follow the instructions in the first post

Try to delete the content of /home/user/.mozilla/fennec/.

in short, the used toolchain is http://www.snewbury.org.uk/maemo/lin...armv7a.tar.bz2

to set up qemu-arm as CPU transparency method you need to select qemu as devkit(along with debian-etch, git, svn,...)

you need to install updated libs from http://www.snewbury.org.uk/maemo/packages/scratchbox/ once your new target is up and running

sources.list should be modified from within the chroot environment

EDIT:
also you should add thumb repo in your SB chroot, so -devel packages used to be the ones from -thumb repo.
Just gave it a go with the new toolchain. This time I could set qemu-arm as CPU transparency method. However, the installation of the c-library fails this time (other files to select like devkits do install correctly).
The message I get is:
Error. Failed to install C-library to target: FREMANTLE_THUMB (100%)

Should I simply ignore this error because I will have to install updated libs as a next step?

Hi everyone, I'm here for one question. After installing thumb2 (or cssu stable/testing) on my pr1.3 n900 will I be able to use the main apps (built in web browser, email/sms/im client, notepad) with a full qwerty virtual portrait keyboard?
Does any of the cssu releases have this feature finally?
Thanks for your help!

If you install cssu thumb(like me), U can use the virtual portrait
keyboard like any other phone... Not the full qwerty, like n97 or other nokia phones...
