I just find out about this great filebrowser app for Harmattan where you can browse your files from an internet browser on a different device within the same network.

I know there is another app like this for Harmattan, but this one has more options.

Now there is one downside... This app isn't available for my country... Can someone dl this?

Hi,

I think Nokia store is taking a bit of time to make it available across all the countries.. (I have checked the "Can be distributed in any country and by any operator, where allowed.*" option and it still isn't shown in my Nokia Store app :/ ). Anyway... I keep the more bleeding edge releases, in the project's github download page..... so here is another link for you

thank you for porting this for harmattan! really love it!

there is 1 downside... I can't download the things on my own pc, only upload files. (like drag&drop a directory to download all my pictures at once to my pc).

Wil that be possible in the future?

Edoit: can you please harmattanize the icon?
you can do this simple with uploading a svg file:

That's an awesome app. "harmattanized' the icon from the website best I could, still kinda clunky:



Edit: Any chance to go deeper into the file system and not only be restricted to /home/user/MyDocs ? Would be very useful, thanks.

Hi, downloading multiple files and directories at once seems like it needs HTML5 features like FileSystem api which isnt really available in any browser out there ( http://caniuse.com/filesystem ) .. i guess this feature has to wait a while....
So any suggestions on how to implement this bit in a user friendly manner? ( currently i m thinking of looking into enabling the "compress to zip" feature to be able to compress all the files and then simply download the zip file ..... )

Also thanks for the Icon thing.. i was a little bit unsatisfied with the icon myself ... so thanks for pointing it out.. will make a new one for the next version

I can look into this... it shouldnt be difficult to add a settings section which lets the user set these options:

Well, at least the DotFiles and root bits ... Actually i myself wanted to have the option of letting the user choose the root directory because not always a user wants to share the whole MyDocs.

You can add a button like: ''Download selected files/folders as zip''.
Once clicked, it will compress the folder (maybe with a % bar showing its progress) and once done, it will start downloading the compressed zip. That should do the job I think
Maybe you can also have a feature like

Really nice app, congratulations - it'll give WifiTrans some tough competition to face One thing though, it is super not important I guess, but when you start the app, the colour of the background - the greenish area - it just hurts my teeth when I see it :P It's totally subjective, and I think some people may like it and most don't care, but if you could add an option to change the colour - or easier, post another .deb, just with different colour I would be so grateful! Green is OK, just a little bit warmer and healthier - grass green or something would be perfect.
Sorry in advance for this weird request!
