Hi, I know this is not a big deal but it is an achievement for me 
because I went from knowing nothing about phone customizing to make a small task work. Then, if you would like to try what I mentioned here, download these two zip files attached and replace them in cepi's or nightly versions using fileboxroot: splash goes in: /opt/waxmppplugin/bin/wazapp/UI/common/images/ and images folder has to be replaced in: /opt/waxmppplugin/bin/wazapp/Misc

@coderus, a small issue here, when i try to copy and paste a (big size)received message to another friend, only a part of the whole message is sent and nothe whole...this issue i noticed in your todays released nightly build

I can explain the iPhone way: When Whatsapp is suspended, which means when you are not using it, IT IS NOT CONNECTED to whatsapp servers - therefore it does not need any battery power.
And how do you get notifications on new messages? You get them via iOS built-in notifications system which uses battery power for itself, so no matter do you have whatsapp or not - it will not affect your battery lifetime. So when you click on notification it will open whatsapp, whatsapp will then connect to the server and download new messages!
This way is also possible on N9 because N9 also has Nokia push notifications system (it is used for Nokia Pulse) but it would be very hard to implement that on whatsapp. Maybe even impossible, because servers are needed for push notifications of this kind.

wazapp doesnt show profile pics
need to go to view profile then then loads the pic
after shutting down the wazapp (options-> quit)
the profile pics arent available
need to do same thing again
