Nice to see all those links bout sailfish. DO NOT forget to spread every damn link on your non geek communitys too like facebook or whatever socialmedia you use.. Atleast if you beleive in Jolla

Don't forget Jolla needs us. and for me, atleast, there is no alternatives. So if Jolla success its good for the FOSS and especially merproject.

with all the 礥SB(2) chargers out there, and this being pretty much the industry standard, i think a "special" set up only for OTG does make little to no sense.
further more, with a USB-A female to USB-A female adapter
at the end of your standard 礥SB(2) to USB-A (f) cable, OTG works perfectly
bought it & used it w/ MohammadAG's package for Fremantle.

Yes, this will be most likely a micro USB-B connector complying to the "European Union's specification of a common External Power Supply (EPS)".

@Naughty

Thanks for the comparison.
To be honest I wished they would revise the design.

I'm not asking for much, but they probably would lead to drastic changes.

#1 - No front buttons, only screen buttons (Back and Menu) and gestures (Navigation)

#2 - Eliminate side swiping. Its difficult and not natural, sorry UbuntuPhone/N9 fans

#3 - Swipe Down to open the Notifications shade

#4 - Swipe Up to open the Active Apps shade (swipe them away to close them, hit the X to close all, hit the Gear icon to go to the Memory Settings page)

#5 - To go the Home Screen, Swipe Up again from Active Apps shade.
Or Swipe Down again from the Notifications shade.
Or, in the initial Swipe Up/Down... swipe all/most of the way from the top to the bottom of the screen.
Or, in the initial Swipe, counter-currently swipe up and down at the same time (pinch in)

...this leaves plenty of gestures to use inside and on the sides of the screen. Your fruit ninja would be thankful.

I would like to have an active backcover, like if you double tap on backside and the browser opens

Wouldn't that mean a touch sensor on the back like the Motorola Backflip?

More money wasted by Jolla, which function likely won't appeal to half of the buyers

The proper port, USB MicroAB, is compatibly with all the MicroB chargers out there. What's a violation of the industry standard is using MicroB only for USB Host and any such stupid adaptor.

But, as usual, I suppose they do this because they do not plan to certify the device for USB Host (again).

to be honest?
how about 礥SB3?
i know most of the speed loss on mobiles when connected via USB comes from the (lack of) speed of the internal storage / 礢D

a 礥SB2 plugs without problem into a 礥SB3 connector
for once, whatever consortium behind all this USB mess did some decent job...
