I just came back from vacation. Unfortunately, my N900 took a tumble overboard to the bottom of a lake in a boat trip the second day. It was almost 3 years old, but almost new... Luckily I didn't lose too much data.

I am setting up another N900 as my main machine now, but I was forced to buy another device for my vacation, a cheap Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0.

After using Maemo for such a long time, Android is quite a shock. Maemo feels so much more orthogonal (I couldn't think of a better word to describe the differences). Android, compared to Maemo, is quite messy. Some things are better, obviously, like faster hardware. I wish Nokia would have at least kept Maemo as a side platform. What pleasure it would be to have a Maemo experience in a modern tablet hardware.

I will be catching back with Maemo in the following days. I don't know what I am going to do with my Galaxy Tab. I might keep it to watch Netflix or browse the internet.
