I would be happy to donate for a full port of Telegram for the N900 and N9, a Symbian version would be great too

Looks like telegram is broken by design and has many flaws:

The way to go, according to the comparison in the link, is 'surespot' which is also open source, but real secure and not only wanna-be secure like telegram.

Anybody get it work? I get an assertion fired:
$ telegram -k /etc/telegram/tg.pub
telegram: mtproto-client.c:435: process_dh_answer: Assertion `decrypt_buffer[14] == 2' failed.

Hi friends,
I tried the new one but same error as Micha. Another assert fired. And there is a problem with libconfig enabling too.
fyi: this is what I do to install
