I've been thinking, if CMIA95 connector is such PITA, maybe it's possible to use Samsung Galaxy S3 camera since it already supported in replicant.

But it is not supported in Fremantle, and Fremantle compatibility was one of the goals of this project.

Replicant device page for S3 says that this camera module is supported by Linux kernel, so I think it's might be possible to use it with Fremantle (I'm not a dev, so if anyone with right knowledge can correct me, it would be appreciated)

I've received the early prototype with modem and made some initial documenting and tests with FSO - generally it works even with generic "singleline" plugin, just some details are missing. I'll play with it more in next days and maybe record some nice demo I'll also test the GPS/GLONASS soon.

We should also have some article about our modem monitoring solution published soon. Also, I'm giving a talk at local event in few hours and my slides also cover that topic, so you'll get some PDF with slides even today

(if you understand Polish - tune in into audio stream at 2 PM CEST )

About new PCB - I guess that will have to wait until UG receives money. It's not there yet and I don't think rushing to spend more money before doing refunds is a wise thing to do.

Catch the slides from the talk: http://neo900.org/piwo/piwo.pdf

Even though it's mostly about basic stuff everyone here already knows, it also contains some info about GSM monitoring solution, so may be interesting for some people here

This way, when something fishy is going on,
software kicks off an alarm to make user do
efficient measures to stop the threat:
– Removing the battery
– Destroying the device
– Hiding it under the seat in bus and leaving

I don't think anyone would do the last two with device like neo900.

Should I be worried by the fact that I only know a handful of Polish words and that document's name is on that list?
