I don't even think that is necessary. If you just add the Twitter app to your Facebook page, it will automatically (ok, it's an option) set your Facebook messages to whatever your Twitting.

I am planning to write a Twitter client. It will be written in Vala most likely. I'm just getting my head around Vala and Glib/GTK at the moment. Should be available in a couple of weeks.

I might borrow code/ideas from Mauku, as it does almost exactly the same thing.

I will also think about making a widgit for the desktop. Like a "send only" client. Cookies with facebook is the big issue, I think. Their API assumes you are logged on, so it might be a biy tricky.

Twitter app on Facebook is the way to go though in the meantime. With that and the GTalk posting, it should be pretty tight.

It looks like there is a project to create a twitter client for maemo called mitter, but I don't know how far along he is.

Ah yeah, but that's in Python. My plan was to write a native app.

It might be nice to have a single app that could connect to either jaiku or twitter-- or would that be unwieldy?

Oh, I would love that too, a single app for both Jaikus and Twitters.

But again I guess the developers will have to bake in both the API's to do a single app for two platforms.
