is there a way to install/move applications to the memory card? would this be the "move root to mmc" thing i've been hearing about? i only have 20mb free here. does anyone have a simple (read: safe) guide or good thread to doing this on n810?

What you need is called clone the Os to the MMC card. This gives you more room for installation. The easiest are here, http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...mplified+clone thread #1 and #292. Once finished #1 step 7.1 move right to #292 and issue a command "./nupgrade.sh wipe" would replace the steps 0-4.

Post if question.

Would it not be easier to just move a few mount points to the storage card? For example, mount /usr as /media/mmc2/usr and /home as /media/mmc2/home? I believe this could be done in /etc/fstab but I haven't tried it. I simply moved all my files to the MMC and also moved maemo mapper map files to the mmc. I also noticed that the rss reader takes up a LOT of disk space so I cleaned that out.

IMO it is easier to clone system than to tweak it to make this working
