touch screen's dead. is there any way i can open it up and fix a loose connection or is it just dead? and can i replace it or should i just get a new device?

OR can i assign the keys? cuz right now i cant access the menu at all or anything

update: i did screen calibration and THAT worked well. and when i touch the screen, the backlight turns on.

i think the pressure sensitivitiy is really messed up or seomthing. anybody have a hack or a fix that'll make it work any time i touch it? obviously the actual movement works fine (as shown in the screen calib), its just that no buttons in Maemo work unless i get lucky (on some random part of the screen if the menu opens)

When that happens here, I just reboot and that takes care of the problem so far.

Not sure whether I ssh'd in or did it with the buttons, maybe both. Not as many problems since I retired it to an ebook reader.
