Thanks for that link Benson. The buldge at the back isn't as big as I thought.

It's interesting to me that they seem to have a real partnership with Sprint XOHM. They even mention a "XOHM WiMAX activation guide" is included in the box.

I wonder you will be able to get the tablet at a discount if you sign up for service with XOHM, similar to cell phones.

That could be one reason for not releasing the price yet, and also the fact that they say they will only be available in areas where WiMAX is available.

Not liking the bulge either. As sexy as black is, I'm sticking with my N810. I'm excited to hear about the updates to OS2008 though!

Here are the Wi-Fi vs WiMAX battery times from the tech specs.
http://www.nseries.com/nseries/v3/me...wme_en_R1.html

WiMAX operation times*

* Standby, always online: up to 4 days
* Internet browsing time: up to 3 hours

Wi-Fi operation times*

* Standby, always online: up to 5 days
* Internet browsing time: up to 4 hours

A bit less but not too shabby considering.

I've been seeing the same set of pictures all afternoon. Finally it dawned on me to reload the page from the server and not my cache, and now I see the four WiMAX Edition pix.

Thx

From comparing the specification pages of the N810 and the N810 NameTooLong Edition, it appears the bulge only adds 2 mm. It's not that bad.

Agree... It looks bigger in the picture that it really is.

If nothing else, it has the nondestructive OS update...

i worry that it may be premature given the reports of imap issues here on the forum...

That was my reaction. "great, modest is only half baked, and they're already announcing bundling it into the OS".
