I was haveing the same problem earlier to day after I upgraded to 30-2. Maybe you would have to delete the .swap file and enable it again. I decided to re-install diablo from my computer and run the os2008 feature upgrade again and format my internal memory card and enable virtual memory, now everything's working perfectly fine. I also noticed this problem after I flashed the modified screen rotate kernel, could that be the problem?

I also got that after the recent update. No one seem interested, so I re-flashed back to the old 2008 OS. Things are find now.

If it was caused by the swap, maybe the browser wouldn't run in root too, but it runs fine.

Code:
              total used free shared buffers
  Mem: 126648 122600 4048 0 4468
Ouch

I don't have this problem but memstat might help?? it's a bit easier than looking at ps output..

Or this script if you only want to see one process:

my 2 cents..

That shouldn't be a problem, since i have 256MB swap. I tried and freed 20MB before posting, and it didn't run either.

Well in fact I discovered that I am also using by default nearly all memory without doing anything, so ignore my post. I didn't know the environment was using that much memory.

I have the exact same problem with my browser giving me this message after the latest update.
Now I can't browse the web on my "Internet" Tablet.

Great, now my "About Product" version says (null) but my command line says 23-14. The other night the "About Product said 30-2

Nokia-N800-23-14:~# free

Just to let everyone know, I'm just running a plain version of OS2008, no crazy stuff or customizations. I did the update about 2 days ago.
