I think the interesting thing is there's only a $55 premium for the WiMAX version over the standard N810 - not bad. That bodes well for the N900 and it's potential cost.

What is the point in jacking up the price and giving a discount to all?
are they better off qouting the reduced price so that more people will atleast consider it?

The Nokia N810 WiMax did arrive today following shipment from Nokia yesterday. Once powered up it automatically detected the XOHM nextwork here in Chicago. My registration for XOHM services failed with my Chicago zip code so I registered with a friends zip code in Baltimore (went in later and changed my billing address), selected the device, service plan and connected to the XOHM network.

Did you get any kind of software in the package? I'm desperately trying to reflash my pre-production N810w, but can't seem to find any RX-48 images.
