My N810 is very laggy playing a AVI video from the memory card (chris rock's never scared btw). the audio sounds just fine, but the video is lagging like no other.

It is solvable with another video player or is there something wrong with my n810?

Thanks in advance!!

Slightly longer answer: The N8x0's don't play "normal" video very well. There are a few different ways to re-encode your file into a more fitting format than generic divx-avi.

Nokia provides a video-converter on their OS2008-site for instance.

Mplayer has the option to decode videos at reduced resolution, which enables the direct playback of typical AVI files (i.e. 704x396 DivX video @ ~1Mbps and MP3 audio @ 128kbps).

"-lavdopts lowres=1,400" from a terminal or "lavdopts=lowres=1,400" in the config file
