This should be possible, perhaps even easy, but I'm not sure how to get the audio cross-plugged. I have both headsets paired, and can listen with either.

But how do I get the microphone of one to go to the earset of the other and vice versa?

So you are wanting to use two bt headsets alone , without any other devices as a sort of walkie talkie?

I don't think you'd be able to get a bluetooth headset to initiate a connection to another

the DECT system allows handsets to operate in a peer-to-peer mode, in theory, go google for it.

With the n810 or n800 in the middle, both headsets paired to it.

I could probably use my laptop but it is a lot bigger and heavier and defeats the portability.

Previous attempts to do this kind of thing have shown that there's a low level watchdog called multimediad in the tablet that steps in and closes everything down... "Go on, you kids, get outta here!"

I totally forgot about this kludgy solution to the multimediad problem.
