The maemo browser can be opened with a given URL from the command line like this:
Code:
browser --url=http://google.com
So why doesn't claws-mail open my links in the browser when I configure it to use the external program
Code:
/usr/bin/browser --url='%s'
as its web browser? It just sits there and does nothing when I try.

This is with Claws-Mail 3.4.0 on OS2008.

Code:
browser '%s'
works for me!

I am having the same problem using 3.7.1. Have configured External Program browser entry to call "tear" but claws continues to insist on calling default browser.

Any one have any tips on how to overcome this?

Thx
Alan

Unfortunately I don't use Claws, but did you try giving the path too? Like

/usr/bin/tear "%s"

I tried putting the path in too, still no success

However, that path does work with Pidgin.

Which version of Tear do you have?

Bundyo, it doesnt have to do with tear or any other browser, but with the claws mail. Claws run the maemo browser, whatever you set on the preferences. I ve tried with midory and fennec, even setting the configuration file, but the port of claws runs only the maemo browser, and this cannot be configured yet.
