I installed it via apt-get so I never saw it in the Application Manager. I just noticed something with your package though, you have:

Code:
Priority: extra
in the debian/control file, it should be:

Code:
Priority: optional
That might be the reason it's not showing up.

Priorities do not affect the visibility of a package in the application manager. But I see this package in the Application Manager, in blue pill mode, and it's reporting it is in extras-devel.

I'm still confused. I have promoted to 'extras'. I see it in that repository (http://repository.maemo.org/extras/p.../free/z/ztodo/)

It does not show up in the application catalog on my N800. Do I need to do something more?

I also would like to use a .install file for http://maemo.org/downloads/product/OS2008/ztodo/ but I cannot find it in http://repository.maemo.org/extras-d...iablo/install/

Am I looking in the wrong place, or is there something else I need to do?

Thanks for all of your comments. I will document all in an FAQ for other newbies like me when I get it all figured out.

zTodo is in my application manager. Are you sure that you have extras repository enabled in application manager and that application manager has updated itself?

Install files are not generated automatically for packages is extras, except for packages which are in non-free. I think you can call it a bug. You can just type in the .install file to downloads in edit view.

Code:
[install]
catalogues = extras
package   = ztodo

[extras]
name = maemo Extras
uri = http://repository.maemo.org/extras/
components = free non-free

One more thing: zTodo is not installable because python2.5-pysqlite2 is not in extras.

Mikkov - what do you mean that python2.5-pysqlite2 is not in extras? I can see it there.

I saw the .install file in http://repository.maemo.org/extras/d...inook/install/
and assumed that this was all that was required. I guess I will have to point people to the extras-devel.

I don't see it in extras-devel either. Now I am wondering where I initially installed it from. Do you see it in extras-devel?
