I think a true judge over its esthetics would be how many times innovators have copied its stylish design. For example, lets see, uuhmm, well perhaps they are still working on which innovative and artistic line to copy...

I've dropped my N800 hard enough to knock the faceplate off 3 times, and it falls off my bed onto my wood floor at least a couple times a week. It's got a few knicks and scrapes on the corners. They're tough.

And, as for appearance, I think it looks great.I do wish it were all metal, though.
