Uninstall :
  • <del>1. run "dpkg -r quasar libqt3-mt libxinerama1" as root.</del>
  • 1. uninstall using AppManager
  • 2.To remove your personal settings , run "rm -ri /home/user/.quasar" and answer carefully with yes or no to questions.
    Code:
    #rm -ri /home/user/.quasar
    rm: descend into directory '/home/user/.quasar'? yes

  • Volume Control bar<del>(for mplayer, not system)</del>

<del>Doesn`t work yet (in Maemo) :
  • Volume Control Bar </del>

Tips :

<del>
  • Sometimes, quasar fails to be launched.
>> Editing "/home/user/.quasar/quasar.conf" , you can solve this problem.
Code:
[QuasarMainWindow]
hadFrame = 0
to
Code:
[QuasarMainWindow]
hadFrame = 1
</del>
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • For N800 users.
>> you can create a playlist of your music files by following command (in Xterm).
Code:
find /your/musics/dir -name "*.mp3" -o -name "*.ogg" > your-playlist-name.m3u
Once you open it in quasar , it'll be loaded automatically next time.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • When you want to set a cover art , but CoverArtDownloader can't find out it.
>> try to find and download it by your hands , and rename(format: "<artist> - <album>.jpg") and move it to your cover art directory(default: /home/user/.quasar/coverart/).
ie:
Code:
mv /media/mmc2/downloads/1982_funkysong.jpg "/home/user/.quasar/coverart/Michael Jackson - Thriller.jpg"

Looks like they've ripped off a whole lot of UI elements from iTunes. That's not to say that the app isn't cool, but I'm not sure Apple would appreciate it.

I get "Incompatible Application Package" on step 2. I stopped there because I didn't know if the steps needed to be done in order.

Edit---

Device Info
N810, OS Version 2008.43-7

please run "dpkg -i libqt3-mt_3.3.7-4chinook1_armel.deb" as root in Xterm.
<del>Application Manager found the name of this package includes a word "chinook" .
so said such a thing.
but probably , I should make a package of libqt3-mt for Diablo ...</del>
If you want to use AppManager, please use it in Red-pill Mode.

Any thought about getting into Extras (or at least Extras-devel)? Installing it then would be trivial; and people wouldn't have to fight with red-pill mode or command lines.
