Is there a way to run a command when the light sensor on the N810 detects a certain level?

I only need this for one time only, it needs to play a certain song when the light turns up.

thanks for any help!

Not directly, but there are scripts that do such things, I believe I have seen a light-sensor based screen-locking script, which could be a good basis for adaptation.

yes there is a program called light-meter that returns the value in lux. I am sure you can write a shell script using it.

Probably to frighten someone when they open the fridge door and the light goes on.
