I was browing thorugh all sorts of thing n900 and I came upon this article on InformationWeek. The article was so-so but I really liked the description of the desktop:

The N900 also provides some compelling "desktop" (mobile-top?) personalization features.

And just now I realized I totally misread it.

I read multi-top not mobile top.
As you can see multi-top is far cooler and should clearly be put into all the marketing paper.

Multiple desktop running multiple applications all in parallel = Multi-top

Anyone else notice the classic Maemo email tone at 1:38? I'm happy to see that some classic stuff remains

Scrolltop.
Slidetop. Deskslide?
Virtudesk.
Flipdesk. Fliptop.

Ahh, I could go on all day...

To steal from another thread, I'd call it the Nokia MyMo.

P.S. I hate MultiTop. What's so multi about the N900 (or so top for that matter). A desktop sits on your desk. A laptop sits on your lap. A palmtop sits in your palm. As a phone, eartop would make more sense for the N900. In computer mode it's a fingertop.

Funny how such a boring word can be so sexy.
