The one application I miss on Maemo is an Audible Player. I have tried using Garnet and Jalimo but with no success. Until recently I thought it was up to Audible to write the software for each platform, however Audible have the AudibleReady Developer program that allows the device developer to write the client themselves. Here is a link with more details.

There are a number of contractual obligations so I guess this would not be accessible at the community level. It will have to be done by, or under the umbrella of, Nokia.

I'm not the only Audible subscriber on this forum and I know Leo Laporte has pre-ordered an N900.

So Quim. Any plans for an Audible Player?

Well Harmattan will support DRM media. I'm not sure whether the hardware/kernel level DRM is needed for Audible or not.

Either way it seems very unlikely for Fremantle.
