Hi guys,
excuse me if I'm posing a stupid question.
Is it possible to have Android on my N810 as main OS installed on the root memory?

Yes (and no).

In fact if you want to use NITdroid, you HAVE to flash it to the device (replacing OS200X)

The no is that you probably don't want to as the project is far from finished and is based on Android [pre?]-1.0

EDIT: This link might help: http://guug.org/nit/nitdroid/ & also search for NITdroid in the IRC chat logs for more info. If you have specific questions feel free to ask them...

It's awful, don't even try it, unless you are a person who likes complicated tasks that will prove to be unfruitful.

There's no reason Android can't be made flashable, but I don't think the audience would be very big - in addition to instability running Android on the tablet is pretty niche as it's a phone OS by nature. Take out calls and texts and you've basically got a web browser, email client, and calendar, all things that are taken care of pretty nicely on OS2008/Debian/Mer right now IMO.
