I accessed my SMS messages and chats by creating a backup and transferring the backup to my computer.
I had to unzip the comm_and_cal.zip file which contains a snapshot of the rtcom-eventlogger database (which also contains phone call information).

There might be easier ways to do this of course :-)

Hi, please I tried using my phone lock today and put in the default 12345 code but it keeps saying incorrect code.
Please is there anyway that I can find the right code through X-Terminal?

Im posting this here as searching the forums has brought up answers for the 800 series using the stylus, but Im looking for an answer for the n900 and Im not a noob, but this is a noob question
How do I select multiple files using the touchscreen?
Im looking to delete all the images that come pre-installed on the n900 and ctrl+a doesn't work, and selecting a file and then scrolling down and selecting another file while pressing shift doesn't work either?
It mkight be that Im being hamfisted with my controls, but after watching a pixelpipe video on youtube, where I saw the guy selecting multiple files easily, Im wondering how to do this

i have had the phone for 2 days now and there appears to be a quirk occurring: the screen goes black and cannot be restarted with any push or activation of the buttons. the only way thing to do is to restart the n900.

i'm thinking that there is probably a lock screen somewhere which i am not aware of (can't find the menu / option), but even assuming it is a locked screen, there should be some way to get me to enter a code, which it doesnt.

sometimes i can't even restart the unit with the start button; the only way then is to open the back cover, release the battery and put it back before i can restart the n900.

anyone has the same experience and / or knows why / what i am experiencing?

would appreciate some help here, or i will probably have to exchange the set.

So you are now deleting the files/images one-by-one with long-tap, right?

One workaround
Either in Photos (Gallery) or in the File Manager, tap the window title bar which will display a menu. Select Delete from that menu (the app will enter "delete-mode")
Now ctrl-all works and you can also select multiple files and delete them with single action.

In my menu I have two icons for the forecast weather.

The first one is the actual application but the second one prompt me to the installation (and then give me the error app already installed).

Can I remove the second Icon or not?

The second icon appeared after the last update.

I have updated to pr 1.1 and since then I get a connection selection popup every now and then.Is there any way to fix it?
(I tried through the internet connections settings but nothing works )
