What am I missing because my screen doesn't have those buttons on top of screen?
And navit still crashes with segmentation fault every time I tap the screen/icons on the bottom right.
If I start navit from xterm I get quite a few errors about missing pictures/icons. And the screen seems to be in night -mode

nevermind. stupidity on my part hehe.
everything is working great! navigation in my location (downtown seattle) is a little rough, but navit is awesome, nonetheless. thank you for your efforts

You have deleted the first char of navit.xml, I guess

I have problem to gain permission. I cannot overwrite the files in the xpm folder at opt/navit..... Can anyone help on that one??

You have to be root for that.
sudo gainroot

Same problem here: installed the icons and the navit-gui-gtk. Navit seems to run well, but I miss all the buttons!

Tried navit today. would be nice if it used a hildonized menu instead of the one it has now.

Its pretty cool, soon Ill go outside to video record its navigation/tracing. :-)
