2. 5 I purchased my N900 only after using a loaner from Nokia.
3. 5 I have no history with, or opinion of, Nokia beyond the Maemo division.
4. 1 I had no interest in mobile phones prior to Maemo. I have no real need for a mobile phone, but a pocket Linux device with a friendly UI is a must.
5. 5 The iPhone doesn't suit my needs, but that doesn't leave me hating it, only uninterested.

4. 3 Maemo didn't influence my choice, but it was an added bonus.
5. 2 The idea of being locked into iTunes and Apples locked down view of things put me off buying an iphone, oh, and the specs weren't what I wanted.
