My estimation is that you have to wait somewhere between quit a long and forever. Application manager has worked that way since beginning and Nokia has their huge meta package to handle library updates, so having updated for other libraries isn't top priority for them (or at least hasn't been).

Not to mention that security issues in a texture loading library is not specially worrisome for me.

Quake3 and OpenArena have both been ported and are available in the Extras-devel repository.

Hopefully I can get all the build system bugs fixed upstream, and then by the time 1.7 stable is released, packaging should be easy for anyone who wants it. All the dependencies compile fine, so can be packaged now.

Dependencies (versions I used):
FreeImage (3130) - http://freeimage.sourceforge.net/
OIS (1.2.0) - http://sourceforge.net/projects/wgois/
zziplib (0.13.58) - http://zziplib.sourceforge.net/

That would be great. I haven't seen any activity in the bug reports you filed. Did you decide to figure out how to properly make the fixes yourself?

Ali1234 did you ever make a package for this?
I am planning on using ogre 1.7 on the device and I don't want to re-do anything that has already been done.
