For all of you who keep asking questions such as how to clear space, and what to do, and don't feel like reading the 100s of threads, I am hoping this thread can explain it all.

Clearing RootFS space:
You need roughly 40mb free for the updates. If you have around 20mb free, the fastest way to clear space is:

Go to Applications Catalog and disable maemo.org (Extras), Extras-testing, Extras-devel (don't delete them, just click the little disable box when you select them in the repositories). This should clear roughly 20mb of space! If you still do not have enough space, then start uninstalling apps installed in extras-devel and extras-testing. This should get you to the right amount of free space, and you are good to go!
