And another idea - it will be possible to download apps to home/office PC and transfer them to N900?

From beginning of 2010 I am facing one and same problem:
When I want to download a program for my N900, it does not matter from maemo.org, OVI, Firefox, etc. and I can not download it!
I tried couple of time to get again and again Firefox, but with on luck. The download stuck on about 60-75% and stops.
I tried using my home wi-fi, McDonald`s wi-fi, GPRS connection, but it happens again and again.
Some programs I am using does not have problems at all, but with most - i should download them for many times.
So my idea is: it will be possible to have one or many locale servers with apps, from which we can download apps?
And another idea - it will be possible to download apps to home/office PC and transfer them to N900?
Thanks.
Regards.
