i didnt, phone actually seems snappier as well, so im happy

i did use the backup proggie on the n900 to keep all my settings, so id suggest doing the same, and save it to a memory card.... just in case

What do you do about backup-ing settings, apps, contacts etc? I'm guessing it will remove them all..?

strangely enough, everything was deleted apart from my movies and music i saved on the phone

So like is the .documents folder going to be safe? All I'm worried about is music and ROMs, took me a hell of a time to convert/find!

Yeah, I've done it quite a bit. Over 3G all over the UK (Manchester and surrounding areas, Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow and London and most of the south-east). That being said, London sucked most -- too many connections?

Here in Australia I get a better ping on Skype over 3G than regular mobile call when dialing very long distance (Oz to UK/Europe, or Canada/US)

It should be mantatory to flash your firmware to the global one!....I did first day I got the device

this is actually quite interesting, since VOIP is 'meant' to be unavailable on all UK networks except 3!!
