n900 is a computer. can nokia or a developer write a map loader as n900 app to manage download map from ovi maps?

quite stupid to do step by step and transfer from another computer.

I would also like to see this. Probably wouldn't be too hard to code either. If there's someone with a bit of time who wants to learn Python and the N900 development process, this would be a good app to make.

This is already in brainstorm (maemo.org/community/brainstorm).

It's under "improving n900 ovi maps user experience" or something like that.
