Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. But what should I change it to?

Edit: Never mind. I just cut/pasted the Tear useragent -- works like a charm.

The latest builds are superfast, and it looks like copy/paste is on it's way. It may have been there before, but I just noticed that if I highlight the URL in the location field and keep my stylus pressed to it, a small copy/paste menu shows up.

Nowwww... if I can figure out how to copy/paste text within a web page, life will be much better! I might have to wait for the feature in a later version.

I just installed the nightly build of Fennec and have definitely noticed some improvements in performance. Fonts are rendering properly now on most, if not all sites (ie. Washington Post was displaying Times Roman, but now shows Arial). The only drawback with this 'beta' version is that it's not compatible with Ad-Block. Will continue to give it a try and monitor battery usage as well. I really want to use Firefox/Fennec as my end-all/be-all browser but found it to be to 'laggy' when compared with MicroB. But Weave & Twitterbar integration keep pulling me back

Info on installing the latest builds is available here:

Note that auto-builds are now disabled (http://ahdesai.wordpress.com/2010/03...-means-to-you/), so you'll need to install the deb file manually.

Firefox Mobile addons I can't live without :

Fastest Scroll In The West : Scroll quickly the page. For navigation in long or large pages.

Adblock Plus : Annoyed by adverts? Troubled by tracking? Bothered by banners? Install Adblock Plus now to regain control of the internet and change the way that you view the web.

Lazy Click : Fixes missed clicks by applying them to the closest clickable object (link, button). This is especially useful on touchscreen displays, where it can be challenging to hit a smaller link or button with your finger

Actually, they're enabled now. So, if you aren't getting the automatic updates, you should definitely re-install aa repo from your ftp directory here:

Thanks for the tip. I just uninstalled Fennec and downloaded the trunk US nightly install file. I believe I have the correct catalog, but it prompts me to install Firefox 1.0. Am I doing something wrong?

I believe you are doing something right. The nightly install file will get Firefox to install for you and you must okay that.

Mobile Firefox 1.0 (officially) is still the latest version. Just because an update version exist in their FTP directory doesn't make it official release.

Just wait, once it become official an update will pop-up on your device.
