yeah pr 1.1 came out like 2 weeks ago in the uk, so india maybe even later, u'll just be getting 1.1 in some places when others get 1.2. the connect to computer instead of updating over the air is usually caused by a lack of space in rootfs, check some of the threads on here for ways to free rootfs and u should be able to get 1.1 over the air, it doesn't seem to work via usb anyway! oh and defo reflash the kernel first if you've overclocked.

Hello. My version is already 3.2010.02-8.002
why do i get this again?
Still, I connected to PC Suite & clicked on update software, it says your version is already updated (3.2010.02-8.002)
now I opened app manager again, still the same Maemo 5 update is there.
I don't know what the prob is. (I am thinking its showing the update because I changed the kernel to the modified kernel for overclocking)
I request the moderators to close this thread because its creating unnecessary panic.

Are you saying 1.1 is not available in UK? I had this pop up to install less than 2 mins after first powering on my new n900 from O2 3 weeks ago.

If you've replaced any of the dependencies (kernel, hildon-home, etc.) then it'll reappear as an update.

It's been available for the generic UK firmware for a few weeks, but I don't think it's available for the Vodafone-specific variant yet.
