As the title says something big just happened.
8 update just dropped in for random apps and are updatable.
Even ones that wern't updatable before due to dependancies relying on PR 1.2 builds are now updateable.
Desktopcommand widget for example.

Anyone else care to try and see if the dependancy issue has been fixed.

Probably because of the autobuilder being updated

A number of things said they were updatable but the files were corrupted.

people have been working on the issue in the background. good to know you have applications updateable now, although there will be still some unsorted issues, but this is great work and quickly done.

Im not too clear what this corruption is, need to check it myself.
But no, this has nothing to do with PR1.2 update, there were some issues in updating/installing apps from extras-devel extras-testing due to autobuilder dependency issues since autobuilder works with PR1.2 SDK and the phone is still PR1.1.
What Ive mentioned above is the effort to sort that issue out so that applications built with PR1.2 SDK work on the phone now as well.

Note: I think some issues are still unresolved, like for example some QT(4.6) apps may still not work, so I would advise not to update any QT4.6 apps just yet.

Wow... This is very nice indeed! I hope PR1.2 doesn't take long tho.

Thanks for the fix, guys!

It was fine this morning, but now all files get downloaded and the HAM says file is corrupted. Clearing cache seems like a good idea, what do you guys think?

The corruption seems to be "size mismatch". When I try updating one of these new debs through apt-get I get this message:

Code:
Failed to fetch http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel/pool/fremantle/free/d/duke3d/duke3d_1.5.8-0maemo7_armel.deb Size mismatch
Failed to fetch http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel/pool/fremantle/free/e/ecoach/ecoach_1.58_armel.deb Size mismatch
Did a dpkg-deb --contents in the deb file (in /var/cache/apt/archives/partial) and it seemed ok though.

There is something weird going on. I just checked and the versions of applications to be installed are the same as the installed versions.

I installed "duke3d" and "ecoach" with dpkg -i from /var/cache/apt/archives/partial and it worked.

Might it be a virus/trojan?
