Has anyone been able to access the website in non-mobile mode? Firefox will but the native browser on my N900 won't.

Yes, just point it at www.evernote.com -works for me in the native browser.

Things like Sorting don't work though.

I'm a bit disappointed!!

Naively, I assumed that the Evernote plugin that's highlighted here http://maemo.nokia.com/maemo-select/...ions/evernote/
would have the same functionality as what I was used to on the iphone.

Damn, I liked Evernote. I'll send them a mail and ask them to make a proper Maemo version. We should all contact them!

Good luck with the Evernote people when you mention Linux....But have you tried the mobile web version? It's not full funtion, but definitely usable. With the ability to forward email to your Evernote account, and the ''Quick Note'' function in the we app, you can still get a lot of functionality out of Everote.
