oops... I guess that's what you get when I'm too trigger-happy at releasing the plugin I'll change that to google.com in the next version.

To use the Informed Individual plugin you need to register a user on that website (see the first post in this thread). But please keep in mind that the plugin is in early development - you mighy experience that stuff you put in there goes away one day.

One of the main reasons for moving to Qt (other than that it's apparently the way of the future) is to allow the use of Python plugins, this will make it easier for people to scratch an itch and write their own data source plugin (e.g. looking up a barcode from some website) or data sink plugin (doing something with the barcode and whatever data can be looked up about it by other plugins, e.g. shopping list, wish lists, etc.)

When I have a spare minute (which atm is not often at all) I need to do some work on the Python part.

Thanks and well done dragly for sorting out the Qt porting

I'll also push an updated version of libdmtx and libzbar (if there is one) when I get a spare minute or 10.

Not yet, I'm afraid. I'll try to find some more time for it soon

If you could just add a setting to the webrequst plugin allowing us to specify a custom URL, I am sure there would be some very interesting URL mods as a result.

Hope this new version is useful cause the old version was completely useless.

So it is your comment. Please, let's show a little respect for the hard work that some people is doing.

If an application doesn't work for you, give feedback constructively, not just "it's useless".

It would also be nice to know which version you didn't like and for what reasons
