Stop making the religiously faithful Nokia fanboys angry. Clearly, Nokia can't do anything to improve--they're the BEST! Can't you see they're trying to convince YOU that Nokia's the best thing EHBARR??

Dan, to just jump in with something like that is flamebaiting.

Come on guys... open your eyes (http://communities-dominate.blogs.co...-stumbles.html)

"It does pain me to see how totally divorced reality and facts are from how Wall Street reacts to various companies in our industry. So RIM grows unit sales and holds market share. Nokia grows unit sales in smartphones and takes market share. Both see dramatic decline in their stock market evaluation on these news. Then Apple reports flat unit sales and loses market share, but sees its stock market price shoot up dramatically."

Ahhh the media... Same goes for countries, I have lived in Brazil on the 80's when the default of the debt (yes, I am that old) occurred and I came back to Portugal because the country was in shambles. Now they are trying to do the same thing with my country which is in a much better position, if you believe in numbers, than US... But just Portugal/Greece/Spain make the headlines nowadays...

Taking a one-day stock quote is clearly an idiot's argument for how a company is failing--but it's pretty clear that this thread was intended to be bait from the start. Might as well throw up my hands and just dance with the sentiment, since I've been feeling it for a while now anyway.

Clearly, it wasn't intended go anywhere but I'm interested to see what people say. How *IS* Nokia improving? How is it doing the OPPOSITE of improving (ie: status quo)?

I'm not convinced that Nokia's given us much to feel optimistic about.

I agree with Dan. There are plenty of noises but I'm not seeing any sure change of direction for the better... yet.

At the very least, they're maintaining their own corporate and brand personality. Look at Microsoft trying to pull an Apple:

"If you want to amplify your life and are in searching mode, the Kin is for you, and if you want to simplify your life and manage things, then Windows Phone 7 is for you."

Doesn't that just make you go "wtf...?"

Anything to contribute beoynd the CAPS in thread title?

Which colour is for what in your drawing?

How is SPX:IND in any way comparative index for Nokia?!? SPX is meant to measure domestic US economy in broadscale not for any spesific sector. Hardly a comparative index for a nordic telecom corporation.

Is there anything usefull to learn from Nokia vs. domestic US industrials comparison? At least for the ones who don't come here to decide between investing on a fund specialising in industrial US stocks or Nokia stocks.

This thread is a waste of space, please delete it.

The original post has no analysis or information other than a tiny GIF image.
