Hey all,

This is really an annoying issue now.

My N900 just become slow and unresponsive. The hildon-desktop always crashes after 2 days uptime.

I hit an icon once and the phone vibrates, and the option open up only 10 seconds later.

I get an email and a yellow bubble appears. I click to close it, it doesnt close, and only closes after 10 seconds.

This is continuing non stop. I am constantly restarting my phone.

This is UNACCEPTABLE.

Has there been any follow ups to this issue yet? I know a number of people have this problem, but I want a fix! Anything in PR1.2 which will fix this?

I love Maemo and my N900, but this is becoming a joke and sometimes the phone is totally unusable. Please help!

Strange, I never have this issue unless if I have many apps open or if I just changed device theme.
Sometimes my phone have 20+ days uptime and I don't see any slowdown.
Try backup and relfash.

My root FS is at 28.90 Mb. Thats a little low.

RAM used, on idling, with no apps is 145Mb!!

Do not worry. That is n900... I might suggest you to use it as I do:

1)Turned off as black relic on the desk
2)Throw it to hit your wife, it is so heavy it might kill her
3) Insomnia therapy:You can get sleepy watching the endless reboot
4) Sync it to gmail... Oh no you can not...
5)Experiment how fast the battery dies...

Good Luck

your ram usage is ok but your root fs is a little bit low.try this:install rootsh from extras devel.then type in the terminal:
sudo gainroot
apt-get install pymaemo-optify it will show your install cache which is useless then type apt-get clean or apt-get remove to clean it up and then run conky again and look how much space you got now at rootfs

I don't think your rootfs is low, in my experience. I would try reformatting and formatting the eMMS, after backing up of course.

jes after cleaning up your root cache i will try this too.and to the extras devei know there are many usefull apps but be sure that you really need what you download.the prop with extras devel is that some apps arent 100 percent optimized to the maemo os and some of them install there packages in the root what is wrong
