Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to make an app that will instantly show the exact position touched on the screen.

This would really help properly configure the touch screen and improve learning speed of how to touch the screen with a finger to touch the desired point ( or a little button in the Internet browser for example).

It could be a fading "X" sign or sth like a circular wave made on a water surface by a drop.To make my idea more clear, here is the pic I made:

The circular wave may be a bit exaggerated but I think you get the idea. The outside circles could fade out, for example.

What do you think?

Cheers,
Ralph

I agree.

Anyone have a idea what this would take to implement? Maybe it can be added to modified-hildon-desktop

I suppose that it shouldn't be hard to implement. MicroB already has a usable mouse pointer. It just needs to be changed into a fading water ripple and applied as an overlapping layer on the n900 (like the broken screen simulator app)
